Kessel Systems for Flooding
Backwater flooding is an all-too-common issue for buildings at sea level or within flood prone areas in Ireland. If your property is in an area prone to flooding, drainage protection systems are essential. Non-return valves are the most commonplace solution for this problem. Kessel Backwater Valves are built from the ground up to be easy to install and maintain. They are made of durable, high-quality plastic materials designed for durability for decades after installation. There are also modular solutions that enable added functionality and can also tackle difficulties arising from difficult pipe locations.
Lifting Stations
Suppose you are draining water from a basement or floor that is below the level of the sewer or too far away to water to allow for gravity drainage. In that case, a lifting station enables you to connect the drainage to the outside sewer. Kessel provide a range of systems for either grey water(sinks and showers) or black water (toilet waste). In either case, Kessel Lifting Stations provides a system that can manage domestic and commercial requirements.
Hybrid Lifting Stations
In a situation where your property’s drain is prone to backing up, a Kessel hybrid lifting station allows normal gravity drainage until there is a back up/flood at which point it switches over to a pumped system. Hybrid lifting stations only activate when needed. For example, suppose your property is close to a river or canal that’s prone to periodical flooding. In that case, the hybrid lifting station will activate during those times allowing you to continue using facilities without disruption. When the flood subsides, the system reverts to gravity drainage, saving energy and reducing costs.
The system you need may depend on your building’s configuration, the demands on your drains and other factors. We can provide a free consultation to help you choose the best setup for your needs. If you have any questions, you can always give us a call 1800 437 246
